    any ideas? alternator problems...

    hello again!..so im having major issue with my car charging..replace the alternator twice and its still not charging...pull the cluster and changed the bulb, the bulb was good but i replaced it anyways..tested the battery and its full...the alternator i have is a champion brand..gonna go with bocsh now..but my question is, is there a third wire for a ground? i only see two wires..any help would be greatly appreciated...cheers!..:p btw i love this site and how helpful strangers can be..love the e30 peeps...

      yup, i tested it and it was running good..13 something on charge but it seems not to hold ...it was running great for two days then crap out. also are reman bocsh good choice? or buy a brand new oem for the stealership...up in edmonton it gets really cold in winter and i dont wanna have problems..

        Test for continuity to a good ground from the alt. case.

            But it on this mode Ω\«(( and put one lead on the ground lug and one on the frame.

              thanks for all the great advice..finally got some sense and got a bosch alternator...works great now! hopefully its fixes all. once again thanks rv3 limited!...:D
