I was GIVEN a winter beater back in 2005, a pos accord. Had it parked in my back alley the night before a vacation where I had to drive down to Chicago O'Hare (I was living in Milwaukee)

These muthersuckers broke the damn window to steal a fookin tape deck from 1994. In hindsight, I should've just left the doors unlocked.

Its not just $50 for a new window. It's time; to clean it up, find a replacement, install, etc. It take someone 5 seconds to screw you up for days.

3 days before christmas a few meth headed neighbors threw a brick through my moms window in her tahoe. They took a crowbar to the center counsel and busted it all to hell, stole her $199 gps and did several thousand dollars worth of interior damage to the vehicle.

Called the police, said they don't come out to car break ins anymore unless we've apprehended the suspects. Told them to follow the tracks (fresh snow) to the neighbors doorstep. Cops didn't do jack, big surprise. Turns out there was 7+ cars in our area that were busted into for gps's within four days.


Anyway be glad they just busted your window and nothing else.

happened to me in my sisters subaru, got my wallet with my paycheck (cash) in it of about 500 bucks. stole my phone as well. I now lock my car anytime possible and the only thing i leave in there is my alpine head unit which if they really wanted to steal it, it would take some time hopefully getting them cought. My amp and sub are deadbolted in the trunk.

That's another reason I am rocking the OE BMW stereo with the soldered cable for my phone to play music. I leave the cassette tape in the stereo, ejected. I never leave anything in sight (like coins) or in my glovebox or trunk, minus a few tools. Still, I always sneak a peak every once in a while from my window to check up on my car.

I think it's a fear we all have to live with because these idiots will always be around.

People suck so much, especially in chicago. He can resell that thing for $30, how is that worth breaking into someones car for? You can collect some scrap medal legally and junk it and make that much.

Dude, I feel your pain. I've had much shit ripped-off over the years. Nowadays, it seems with the price of most objects it doesn't make sense to break-in and steal shit for a $20 return, but that's what druggies do. They need quick cash for their fix.

It's a shame, I support the dismemberment penalty for anyone caught stealing shit out of a car.

I'd be pissed too, but that is a small loss. Get a junkyard window for $50 and next time take your valuables with you when you leave the car.

Took my car to B&D auto (aka Ben), he put in a new window and changed my tranny/diff fluid which I supplied. All done for $150, so all in all it wasn't that bad. Next I'm going to hardwire a hidden V1 into my rear parcel shelf, fuck you theives I come back better and stronger every time.

This has only happened to me once, and I caught the guy. Dumb ass smashed my rear pop out. Jacked my cds and some clothes. Funny part was that the clothes were all from the store I worked at 3 blocks away. A wool coat I had just bought and still had the tags in the pocket, the idiot tried to return to ME at MY store. lmao, cops called, yada yada yada, he went to jail. These things never work out like this, so I am sorry for your loss. Cardinal with black on the inside, I am the same, I like it.
