How much would you pay for...

A friend of mine's '88 325is (one of the few plastic bumper cars down here) is purdy much dead (he drives like someone outta F&F). So, he said he'd sell me stuff if I traded my stock part so that he can have it on the car to sell..

    Currently he has:
Headers (brand unknown to me, i'll post pics soon)
An LSD (not sure on the ratio yet, working on getting under the car)
    Plastic Bumpers.

As I've never done any of this, what would you guys pay for each item considering there's is a swap (albeit a downgrade) involved?

He said to make offers, i want to set good starting offers. Help?

It's none of my business what you do, but I would never recommend you "make an offer". That's the same as bidding against yourself. I'd just tell them I'm not going to make an offer because I'm not going to bid against myself. Then tell them to call/contact you when they're ready to sell. All of the items you mention are in abundance in salvage yards or on eBay.

If you want to know what these items currently go for, check out eBay. Do a search for each of these items and check the "Completed Items Only". Add shipping charges and that should give you an idea of what the stuff is worth.

The headers -depends on the brand and condition. Go to Ireland Engineering's website (or SEAM) and see what a new set goes for. Then don't pay more than that amount (with shipping). A used set should definetly cost less than a new set.

The LSD, depends on the ratio. Go to The EuroDepot's website and see what Joel (owner) charges for a used LSD of the same gearing (with shipping). Then don't pay more than that amount. In fact, pay less than that amount because a used LSD from the EuroDepot is sandblasted and repainted and comes with a 30 or 90 day warranty.

Plastic fenders go for about $150 each here in Los Angeles. I've seen a couple go for less on eBay but then you have to factor in shipping (which is usually prety huge). Joel at The EuroDepot sells them for about $175 + shipping. I wouldn't pay more than what it would cost you at the EuroDepot (with shipping)

None of these suggestions factor in the cost of living in Panama as that is something I know nothing about.
