    1991 318: coupe vs. cabrio

    hello,

i've been looking at various late model e30's lately, particularly 318is's and 325is's but have not found an example that i would like to commit to. i have never really considered owning a cabrio, but recently they have been catching my eye. so, as the title states, 318is vs 318ic... which would you rather own, and why? also a couple other questions regarding the cab, are they a lot heavier than the coupes? perfomance wise, is there a noticeable difference (eg. handling, acceleration). are there any other concerns with the soft top, such as leaking etc?

    thanks

    318is coupe= slow
318i Cabrio= really fucking slow, and sloppy handling; soft top has its own set of problems, like um, breaking and wearing out. plus its stupid easy to break into a cab if you have a butter knife...

If you want to pimp with good MPG, get the cabrio. If you have any kind of sporting or aggressive driving ambitions, get the coupe.

converables are stupidly dangerous. You couldn't pay me to drive one everyday.
