    m50 e30 vs e36 m3

So I hate that I am even considering driving an e36 but I have someone interested in trading me a 1995 m3 for my m50 e30. Naturally the styling of the e30 is much more to my taste, but the m3 has lower miles, only 117k while my m50 has 127k. Also the m3 would be faster, and I would like to say more valuable?.. but I really can't decide if this is something I would do, I've never driven an e36 m3, but damn do I love the m50 e30. Anyway here is some info on each car.

    rust free 1990 325is
    m50 with 124k
custom exhaust 2.5" down pipes to 3" straight pipe to magnaflow muffler
    custom cold air intake
    z3 short throw
    gc coilovers
    recaro SRD and SE
    Koni yellows
    Rieger skirts
    subframe bushing recently done
basketweaves and soon to be finished Ruote O.Z's (I am about two hours worth of work away to having them completed)

    1995 M3
    117k
    18" BBS LM's
    AAC Stainless Steel Muffler
    cold Air Intake
    Billastein Shocks & Struts
    H&R Springs
HID Angel Eye Headlights and Fogs ----- (I hate HID's)

I know I am asking on an e30 biased forum, but I am an e30 biased person.. so what do you guys think?

I'd keep the E30, the only E36 I'd want is a technoviolet vert. There are plenty of e36's out there and E30's are getting hard to find rust-free.

I think it might be the reason I am asking R3V.. I love e30's and I want to know what other e30 lovers would do.. All of my friends have said to trade for the m3, but most of them do not share my love for cars.. or e30's...

I think the fact that this guy is offering you to trade for his M3 is clear enough. If he is willing to do it prob means the E30 is worth it. Ipso facto....keep the E30.

Trade for the e36. You know you want it. Then you can swap the motor into a cheap shell and wala, upgrade!

I was thinking about this.... I absolutely love e30's but i feel like it seems like a good way to get an e36 m3.. so why not throw all those nice parts in a new shell?.. eh?

dude, not all HID lights are blue or retarded fucking colors. you can put different BULBS in, idk if you know how to change a bulb or not but if you dont, well then the e30 definately isn't for you.

now if i were in your situation, i would keep my e30, buy a wrecked e36 m3, sell the m50, swap in nice s5x, partout e36 m3, and then do the happy dance for making other people pay for my motor!

                              thats what smart people do...
