haha this thread went from bashing carb to bashing states altogether. I was born and raised in Cali, have been plenty of other places and I have to say I love living in a season-less state. Up here in Santa Barbara the weather varies +/- 25 degrees year round. The worst during the winter it can get is 35 (middle of the night) and the hottest during the summer is 95 (middle of the day).

Also want to give a shout out to Denver, CO. One of the best babes per capita I have seen in a city. But this is also after I drove 10 hours from KC (not so many babes, but best BBQ ever)

EDIT: for you math wizards the standard temp here 75 during the day and 50 at night...hence the +/- deviation.

But you can't do shit without rolling through red tape. Out here, shit, I want headers on my e46? Fuck it, cats are coming off. CEL on? No biggie, my lights work, brakes are good, so I pass inspection.

I don't have to have my car hooked up to a machine to tell people it's putting out proper values. I don't have to spend the money fixing things so the car passes emissions. I cut cats off and scrap them and make some pretty good coin on the side.

We just got a sniffer today at the shop to diag cars. Not for inspection, just for diag. Wonderful tool, but when put in the hands of EPA yuppies, it ruins everything.

umm if you didnt know... theres plenty of ways around smog. I bet cali has the most swapped cars on the road ( not just bmws , but nissans hondas toyota ) You really think CARB is going to stop us? What pay someone to smog your shit and dont worry about it for 2 years. Also more than half the cars here do pass on their own. Its not that bad , id rather deal with carb than some shit storms that the east coast gets.

smog isnt that bad here, if your car runs good youll pass. Cant beat the weather or the ladies.
