E24 M6 find in Wading River, NY

Yesterday I came across a 1987 Schwarz M6 sitting at a gas station with a for sale sign. I got a chance to look at it today and there a couple really good things and several very bad things.

    1. The greatest thing about this car is it has a totally rebuilt s38 with 20,000 miles. The owner has receipts for the engine work as well as replacing the clutch. It also has a complete large tool kit with all the tools including two of the green screwdrivers. The car only has 150,000 miles on it.

    2. The interior is a dove gray color and is in really good shape with the exception of one crack on the dash.

Sadly, the car has a lot of rust as it has spent its entire life on the southern shore of Long Island. There is rust on all the fenders as well as the license plate lights and surrounding the rear license plate. Also, it has the original TRX wheels with dry rotted tires.

This car would be a great candidate for someone who has time to correctly repair the rust and get it back on the road. If worse comes to worse the mint s38 would be worth what he is asking for the car.

If anyone is interested in it PM me as I have some pictures of the rust issues and can take more pictures of the overall car as it is right down the road from me. I would be buying it myself but I just don't have the time to mess with another project.

Pics of the whole car coming soon. Sadly, all I have now are pics of the motor and the rust.

E24 M6? That's nothing, my dad and I were out bakery shopping and we came across 2 abandoned E30 M3s in a field.
