Picking up my first e30 on wednesday

Well It's pretty much official now... I'm picking up my new car wednesday and I'm really happy! It's a 1990 Zinnoberrot 325is, 5 speed manual tranny, leather interior, lowered on H&R/Bilstein suspention. the car has been kept out of our slushy and salty winters for the past 15 years of it's existence.

I can't wait to drive it back home! I'll post some pictures when I have them for now here are some old ones the owner took.

Yeah I owned a 1988 16V VW GTI and it was a fun, snappy little beast! a real blast to drive although it lacked a bit of low end punch. I got a chance to test drive the e30 and I must say I was quite pleased. I expect it to be even more fun to drive than the GTI.

Wow, for a first E30 your starting real good. Very clean..sure beats my first E30. Now drive it, enjoy it and don't wreck it!

Btw, how much did you pay and where in Canada are you exactly?

I'm not going to drive it like my GTi. I don't have any major mods planned in the near future. I'm going to get the hang of driving RWD before doing anything serious.

Congrats dude. I've got a mk2 VW and an e30 also. Like Rob said, the driving experience is totally different but both are a blast to drive. Have fun with it.
