Just checked it out, looks like it's the Miller MAF chip, going to swap it out tomorrow and let you guys know what's up!

      This.
People think my m20 is modded. Nope, just well taken care of.
(Although I recently obtained an oil leak that Ill have to look into)

OP (spence?), do you have the War chip or the one that comes with the maf conversion?

The one that comes with the Miller MAF.

Ever since my first one quit, I just keep the AFM and a 153 in the trunk. "Limp mode" only takes 15 minutes to turn on.

My Miller setup was acting up two weeks ago too, had NO power and had a very hard time revving it up or even keeping it running. I'm still not sure what the exact problem was but I reloaded all of my maps (WAR chip) and it's been fine ever since.

Keep your M20, looks like you've done a lot of work to it and I imagine it's a blast to drive. I've got practically all of the same goodies in a box waiting for winter to roll around and I know even my fairly stock 2.7i is a lot of fun. 24V swaps are played out, keep it oldschool!

Edit: by the way I'd love to see a build thread of your engine if you have one

This. Allllllll of this. M20's are great motors. BUT all of this talk about how Miller kits are messing up is making me glad i didn't use them for my MAF swap.

I am so sick of hearing all this 24v bs. Honestly, if it works for you then great! A worked m20 has just sounded so appealing in my mind lately, and NA power at that. Remember kids, it's not the sheer numbers, it's the way it's delivered.

The thing I've always found funny is "enthusiasts" claim to own E30's for their character, yet rip the heart out for some modern lump. If I wanted the thing to drive like an E36 I'd buy a freakin' E36.

m20 exhaust sound>m/s5x exhaust sound. Plus m/s5x engines are plastic-ey.

don't forget... blow up an M20 and you have to replace a $200 motor. Blow up a 24v motor and you're looking at quite a bit more.

How do you blow up an M20? I can't seem to manage. M10s on the other hand...

catastrophic timing belt failure? Don't really know. regular valve adjustments and timing belts and the m20 will never blow up.
