I would change that colorful banner to a simple one or two colour joint that blends in with the rest of the page, remove the "I Love My E30" and try getting a different E30 outline that isn't so jagged if you're inclined to keep it.

I honestly liked it more before the page loaded properly and the background was all black.

Your site looks tacky. The colorful banner looks like it belongs on some cheap 99c toothpaste box and the E30 silhouette is jagged.
