after sanding and filling the dents in the parts car's hood, a through waxing and mold release was applied, also the vents taped up to make the hood simpler

then the first layer of mat and resin, followed by another and then 2 layers of cloth, the corners turned out horrible and there were alot of bubbles, sand bags helped compress the corner wrinkles

after hours of sanding and a few more resin coats to even it out it was still looking rough but we put it on the car to see how it fit

the new hood was light but so flimsy, if just one person removed it in a light breeze it might have broke in half so more aluminum angle was riveted in place this really helped and the total end weight was just 11lbs! vs the 31lb gutted hood and the 50lb stock hood!

but overall im not very proud or satisfied with it, maybe one day we will make a proper one

outside Vadym removed the last of parts from the parts car we needed
and we pulled the engine to look at the trans as we think it has different ratios

we installed the m10 in the old V8olvo for fun, looks too small huh?

then mocked up the prototype FWD BMW E21 idea that popped in my head, it could work!

also installed newer shock tops in front with not 2 but 3 support bolts to help them from flexing

finally big mod was for the LSD, after it got hot in Reno it made horrible clicking noise, online bmw guys claim its normal but these clicks were LOUD, like bad rod know noises and we have fresh oil and LSD additive in it.
but as soon as it cools for 10 minutes it goes away so why fix the deep problem when you can slow the symptom?

so I welded on some cooling fins Ala Alpina style....

also plumbed a CBR1000 oil cooler in. sure it took the same time as pulling and inspecting the diff would have but now the car has twin diff cooling systems, how fucking cool is that?
