Said good bye to both of my E30s today :(

Well, tonight is my last night in England and its bitter sweet. As im sitting in this hotel waiting for my flight home tomorrow I was taken back down memory lane on all the headache's, busted knuckles, and long nights working by myself. My E30 addiction started a little over 4 years ago then rapidly grew these past two years as I was in England. I actually tried to get out of E30's while over here and went and bought a Mini Cooper Classic and realized that it wasn't an e30, even though it was fun. So I got another one, and another, and another. Im sure most of you dont really care about what I just typed, but im bored and in a hotel room.

So here's to Mrs. Zinno and Mrs. Lappy.

Dont worry. The red one is getting shipped out Sep. 1st and going to St Louis where i'll pick it up, and the blue one will be getting shipped back this time next year due to the 25 year old rule.

I was very sad and thinking "why doesn't he just get them imported back into the states by the AF?" until I saw this:

Didn't you buy a touring rthere, too? I'd be more inclined to bring that back instead of the red one. Is it too new? Canada 15 year import law FTW. There are at least half a dozen skylines in Halifax that I know of personally, likely more.

Honestly, I couldnt afford to ship two cars back. The USAF is paying for the red one and ill be paying for the blue one. Another thing is that I dont know anyone in Canada and wouldnt have time to go get it. But I do agree, it would be nice though.

Also, I want something thats going to be completely legal without me having to do any modifications or by-passing US customs and laws to get it legal. I've read way to many threads about skylines in the states are licensed illegal and people getting in trouble. So im trying eliminating all of that. :D

Sound reasoning. I was warned when I brought my touring across the border on a road trip not to "leave it there" and that it was a grey market car.

Having two Euro E30's is gonna be sweet, will probably be a looong ass year waiting for your blue car, it would be my favorite of the two.

I love my blue one, but its bone stock now. I took the coilovers and wheels off and they're already on the way to the states. Will probably put them on my USDM E30 until the blue one gets here. Also have a Mtech1 kit and a set of euro bumpers coming over.

That is cool that it is just a temporary time apart. I don't know what I would do without my car.

You should have went to a local junkyard and got all the euro bumpers you could fit in the car and make mad cash...

Haha thanks guys. I at least have another E30 back in the states to play with until these get here. But I wished I could pile my car full of stuff, but the car has to completely empty when shipping it. Only thing that can stay is the stock spare, stock tools, and a catalytic converter in the trunk (due to emissions). If I could put stuff in my car id have about 3 mtech1 kits with euro bumpers along with grilles and side markers.
