I could live without either. I have gone without heat in Colorado and without a/c in NM, CO, KS, MO, IL, KY,TN and GA. It is possible to live without it.

how are you going to defrost your front windshield? i drove one winter without it and i almost killed myself. on a side note, you can get a portable heater that plug into the cig hole.

I just got through an Australian winter with no heater. Now that summer is coming, I think it's time to remove A/C.
