    Bilstein B8 dampers for e30..

    Hello All,

Has anyone used the B8's on their e30? if so, what springs were you using and what were the ratings. I need to know as i've got some ready to go into my Alpina.

I want something that will sit like the picture below or maybe a tad higher in the rear, my main focus at the moment is the rear because it's bottoming out with the lowered no name springs and b8's.

    Cheers,
    Was.

That looks about the height of h&R sports

Here is a picture of h&R sports with 15mm drop hats in the front, you should not bottom out with these as they are stiffer then m3 springs but not to much 180/370 the M3 is 140/315, I might be willing to sell you my brand new set never use set of sports springs pm me if you are interested.

Yeah but don't forget your car's got the higher rear arch whereas mine has the lower. The sport springs you've got for sale; are they standard BMW sports or h & r sports?

        Cheers.

Ha no that is not my car. LOL

They are H&R sports that I have forsale.

yes you do have higher arches in that cas you can go to something like the, king spring super lows but the springs rate's are the same as the M3 and I would be concerned that it would bottom out. The other option is h&R race which are very low as well but double the stiffness of the H&R Sports. Or remove the rear spring pads.

Feel free to add and correct as neccessary.

I've never liked King springs, i've used Spax before on my old E28 and that thing handled like crazy, however i don't know what Spax is like for the E30's. H&R race springs sound pretty good, i prefer the stiffness over the softness in the rear. How much do you want for your H&R springs?
