    Let the games begin!

Ladies and Gentlemen, Greetings from the newest (possibly) E30 owner on this website! If you cant tell already, I am pretty excited. This past weekend I bought my first E30!! Ive been wanting an E30 since I got my drivers license 15 years ago. Finally, I have her.

The goods: 1991 318is, diamondschwartz. 140k miles. Pretty decent condition inside and out. It needs a little TLC, but for $1600 I had to jump on it. The car has been sitting for over a year due to a bad fuel pump, but the motor fires up nicely with some starter fluid and sounds great. Timing chain has been replaced, as well as 4 new tires under her.

First step will be a complete fluid and filter change for all fluids and filters I can possibly replace, as well as a good cleaning for the fuel tank, lines, and injectors.

From there I will assess any other issues that arise with the general operating condition of the car, but it shouldnt need much else unless anyone here has any secret tips or suggestions. I am a novice mechanic, but am eager to learn all about this car and fix it up as nicely as possible.

Any and all pointers from experienced E30 owners are appreciated. Thanks for letting me share my joy with you. Pictures will be coming soon.

    You're too happy. I don't like you.

Oh wait. You got your license at least 15 years ago. That places you at least 31.

I like you. You're surprisingly happy.

wow I have the exact twin of your car (diamond black 318is) if there is any valve ticking (which I doubt after a timing chain replacement) you should replace the timing chain tensioner.
