    Smelly 'vert.

So, long story short, went to Beerfest in C'ville last weekend. Got driven home, I think. Left top down on the 'vert, rain, yadda yadda, now it smells like rough anal secks, with a little skat and possibly dash of goat inside.

I emerge from my car smelling like I had a rough run in in Las Vegas then ended up in the Tennessee backwoods being told I had a pretty mouth.

This is not good for teh ladies, 'cause A) It stinks, B) I stink, C) they end up stinking. Lets just say no one has been getting rug burn on their face from my hood anymore.

    Anywho, that's my story. Questions?

Grab a steam cleaner with just a little bit of citrus added to the water and go to town on the seats. Rip out the carpet, get a rug doctor, give it a good cleaning, and let it air out for a few days.

Also be sure to steam clean the sound insulation on the carpet and on the body. That shit can hold an odor.

                That only masks it^^^^^

I use to be a delivery driver for Jason's Deli. Courtesy of some dumb bitch cutting me off, I had 2 gallons of tea burst open when they hit the rear of my seat. I vacuumed it up with a shop vac and hoped for the best. 2 days later my e30 smelled like rank vagina in a sewer. I ended up pulling the carpet, cleaning it as best I could with a Rug Doctor, let it sit out for a few days, dyed it, and reinstalled it to little affect. So I tried some febreeze and lysol. Neither did anything to solve my problem. I ended up ripping the carpet out again and just let it sit outside for a few days.

It's amazing what a pressure washer can remove.

I'll have to try all of the above. I would think the hood would smell, but nope. I was gonna leave the top down while at work, but my garage space got taken by a buncha shit and I know if I leave it down outside it's gonna rain...

One of the thinks that is killing you is the humidity there. In dry climate that car will have a much better chance of drying up good.

Have you consider ripping the carped off and replacing it?

I did mine, not because it was stinky but because the other one was old.

                        Good luck!

Smell went away all on it's own. I am amazed.

I drove it this weekend all over creation with the top down (duhh) and I no longer notice the smell, no do my friends.

It's getting the tags dropped this/next week and I'm getting a lift delivered in 6 weeks. then she'll be getting torn the fuck down, welded up, and M30 swap'd hardcore in time for Spring.

...but for now, disaster adverted, smell gone....and believe me, it was RANK!

I'm not as familiar with the smell of Goat Sex as you are but i can imagine a unique smell.

M30 vert will be awesome, great choice.

Pull your interior out and pressure wash it with some nice fabric cleaner. Carpet too. You may have some mold growing under it.
