Have you seen Michael post one ECCA with the SA anti hoon laws? Fucking Stupid.

Cut a long story short, off duty police officer reported him doing a burnout which he was not. Later police rocked up at his house and impound his car with out being prosecuted? Anyways took it to court can't remember the out come think most of it went his way.

there's like.. two hundred people in all of australia. why the hell can't you go fast on all that open road?
Kangaroos, wallabies, wombats, numbats, possums, snakes (big ones), crocodiles (fresh & salt water), emus, cassowaries, camels, wild horses, feral pigs/goats/dogs/cats, bilbies, koalas, native hopping mice, buffalo, roaming cattle* and fuckin' drop bears. Hit any of them at speed and you'll fuck your day.

    * in the proper parts of the outback there are no fences to control stock - they just wander over roads.

But truthfully, the outback really isn't a place to do mega speeds (as the infamous Cannonball Run of 1994 proved). I mean, this is the major highway connecting the two biggest towns in North-Western New South Wales:

    A few km later...

It is beautiful out there, though

Same here, I thought it was all gyrocopters, and thunderdome there.

I mean I got pulled doing 75mph in a 45mph zone here in North Carolina, they asked me wtf I thought I was doing and I said NASCAR! They let me off with Improper Equipment.

PS. Just playing I had to take a 2 hour class to get it down to improper equipment which they let everyone do only once.

wow, and i thought our laws up here were striked... Under 40kph over the limit is just a fine...(like $200), over 40kph over the limit you get your car impounded for a week(new law only in the last year), and pay all expenses...

Just rang the police and they won't change the alleged speed 1 km so yeah going to have to cop this one on the chin and move on.

    gay.
Don't they have traffic-ticket lawyers in Australia?

Get caught racing or doing burnouts a second time and they suspend your license for +12mo and confiscate your car. You don't get it back the 2nd time (some states in Australia crush the car now).

You get 12/13points on your license in Oz and a basic 10km/h speeding fine is generally 2-3 points in most states (some are 1point up to 10km/h over). Once you run out of points, you lose your license for 3months and your insurance will quadruple overnight.
