how wide are these wheels? What kind of total offset can you end up with the adapters?

These thankfully are higher offset ET42

        15X7 - I think they will work.

The high offset is cool because spacers can be made to work!

There is no solid basis for that statement. None. Not when they're good quality and installed correctly. Hot rod guys and trucks/crawlers have been using adapters for decades.

And why bother for 15" wheels, especially such stock-looking ones?

See you guys dont get it.

                The wheels are $100

Adapters $300 or so ... and then I can resell the wheels probably not lose anything and get some other 5 lug wheels .. or sell adapters

Not losing much money, or none.

I paid $400 for my minty Ronal LS's that are hubcentric and 4x100 already, there are very nice 15x7/ 15x8 wheels available for that kind of money. Hell,Tire Rack has really sharp, light wheels for less than 100 each. Their C1 wheel in 15x8 is bitchin.

5toes, its just a matter of waiting.
think of it like fishing, you can pull in little fish all day, but you gotta wait around a long time for the big fish.

Yes to all of that. I check near everyday on CL. I just type in "4X100" in autoparts... of course after I search "BMW" in auto parts :giggle:

Adapters are in no way a bad investment.. they resell easily. They give lots of different options for wheels, etc.

Also, the wheels are $100 people. That is so cheap. Remember that these ARE MINT. No rash, paint is not flaking. They dont need refinished or anything.

True words. I spent 6 months of persuasive prying to get my Ronals.

You are focused on the 100 number but you will have 400+ into that setup before it rolls.

Sounds like you are already committed. Best of luck, they will be unique for sure.

Remember to plan for a flat tire, ie the tools to remove an adapter on the road or get another e36 wheel
