    experiences with e36 318ti?

please share...drove one but didn't feel it being as fun as an e30 wanting input for friends purchase. I admit I'm not used to driving an m44 powerplant where the revs need to be kept up I'm used to shifting way earlier with the m20's. I'd like objective/subjective input on handling performance etc. even comparos to e30s...

    thx

e36 front struts, e30 rear suspension.

drives okay, what are you going to use it for?

Honestly try over at Bfc, theres a good amount of ti guys over there.

Having drove both, personally I'd go e30 all day long.

thanks-was looking for input from an e30 reference

buddy will be using for a daily so the fuel economy is being considered vs m20...

I own one, '96 sport model.

They are great, practical cars. It is my wifes DD all year. The basic traction control makes the car very good in the winter. She has never got stuck with all season tires in Colorado. She always gets over 30 mpg. They don't have an overdrive gear so they are rather fun to drive. It's almost a front-mid engine car too. Yes, you have to go to redline but it loves it. We can carry tons of random junk with the hatch. M44 is super reliable. You can't go wrong for a DD if you ask me. Sure, the E30 is more fun but the Ti is a more practical car.

My sister used to have a 5 speed. Definatley a fun car. It broke her heart when she got forced into a guard rail but some waffleswaffleswaffleswaffles in an SUV. Dumb bitch tried to change lanes without looking and Blamo! Poor car never had a chance. I would probably buy one if it turned up for the right price

I'm really drawn to a Ti because of the utility of the hatch but seem similar to an E30. Hard to find cleans one for a decent price around here.
