Throttle cable

There are three cable on throttle. I know one is for acceleration. Can you guys tell me what are other two cables for?

After you push the accelerator past a certain point it kicks the transmission down a gear iirc.

You can put it to the floor then push a bit more and you actually feel something under the pedal click. At least thats how I remember it lol

There is a reference button under the pedal. It does nothing but provide resistance so you don't hit the floor with the pedal and make it kick down a gear or two on accident. The cable is puled by the throttle linkage and goes to the trans where it opens valves and throws it down a gear.

You can adjust the kickdown cable for harder shifts, I did on my first e30(autobox). Helps but doesn't fix

the extra click behind the gas pedal is actually for the passenger seat ejection. euro models had them but it was removed from us spec e30s.
