OP, you would not need to swerve all the way into the oncoming lane to avoid a small road hazard. When you looked under your car to inspect the carnage you may have noticed that your oil pan was only about a foot wide. Your wheels are slightly more than a foot apart leaving you 2 safe paths to straddle the hazard.

Why did you not move slightly to the left or right thus sparing your pan? Were you texting your boyfriend?

lol oh yea i was deff texting the BF while the gf was riding with me ;) lol but nah by the time i noticed how giant it was it was too late....

i couldnt find the rock. but i found pieces of it once the car was up on the roll back, so im guessing it exploeded with my pan.
