Guys,
I'm having an issue with my swap. I put an M50 into my E30, which went OK (got to here it fire up today!), but there's a problem with the clutch pedal.
I had a dual-mass flywheel on my G260. I bought a Sachs clutch kit, which we ascertained was actually for a single-mass flywheel. I replaced the pilot bearing, but the inner diameter was slightly smaller than the bearing that came out of the transmission. I put the new pilot bearing, throwout bearing, ball pin friction disk and pressure plate onto the engine, then bolted the G260 to the M50. It was a pain, but didn't take any unreasonable force.
Now I cannot depress the clutch pedal. It goes a few inches, then stops like it's hitting a brick wall. Is this a result of the transmission shaft not fitting into the Pilot Bearing perhaps? I wouldn't have thought the transmissionw ould have bolted to the transmission if that were the case, but I've never replaced a clutch ona car before only on bikes, which are COMPLETELY different).
Thanks for the help guys!!
