Stuttering after hard corners but only when close to empty

It feels alot like fuel starvation (exact same feel as the last time I ran out of gas) but it only happens when I get very close to empty and am throwing my car around corners. Mostly when I go through a quick right then left it begins to stutter for a few seconds, it will idle but loses all acceleration and backfires if I hold the pedal to the floor.

Does anyone else suffer fuel starvation at low fuel levels from sloshing or should I start looking for a problem somewhere?

The car is an 87 325e

Sorry if anything is unclear - posted from ipod

its the fuel moving around in your gas tank...I know some cars use windage trays to avoid this, not sure if its available for the e30 tho.

Common problem. The solution is to have more gas in the tank. Or if you do it regularly/track car, a transfer pump.

normal but if you keep doing that your fuel pump(s) will go out. not that its that big of a deal..
