If I was to get an e36 m3 in decent condition and took out the engine+tranny how much can the rest be parted out for? Just a typical condition m3. Any one done this before?

No i dont have one but i want to buy one and snatch the engine from it to swap into my e30. buying an engine for 1700-2000 alone seems spendy but if i can find an m3 for under 4k then maybe i can get my money back by parting it out, well at least thats the idea. I saw one for sale for 3500 obo in tacoma maybe 2-3 months back but it sold instantly.
