Thats an m60, its only a v8. Also, I'm not sure what the tansmission is that he listed but i wouldnt be surprised if its an auto.

m60 is not a v12
its the same engine that they have in the e34 540i, probably the same 6 speed too.
if it were an 850, then yes it would be a v12.

The m60 in a e30 has been done before numerous times, theres an entire forum for it on these boards.

what they are saying is that the guy is false advertising. It did not come out of an 8-series. It is in fact the engine he said was in the listing.

I'm about to embark on a m62b44 swap myself. First thing I can tell you is auto and 6spd trans are going to be a pain in the ass. If you end up doing this though, I can link you to an excellent build thread.
