I picked up an 84 325 a couple of weeks ago for really cheap. Needless to say in needs work. There are little things allover the car that probably need replacing. I have been trying to search around the forums to get an idea of how to proceed but i am finding i am having trouble creating a plan of action. I have some mechanical experience with motorcycles and small 4cy race cars but am pretty unfamiliar with BMWs. It would be a huge help to me if someone knowledgeable or even slightly knowledgeable could give me a hand giving the car a look over and help me set up a game plan. The car drives but has some electrical isues (fuse 21 keeps blowing), the suspension needs rebuilding, the motor/trans mounts and probably gone, water leak in trunk and drivers side floor...etc. I can hook you up with beer, whiskey, food or an extra set of hands on your project. I'm in Warren near 9mile and Dequindre. I could drive to you also.

Water leaks.
The trunk is prolly the seal, or has shit built up along it not letting it rain correctly clean it out. and the pass side floor is more than like the cowl drain. Look under the hood on the pass side. You should see a little rubber deal that looks like a elephants trunk pull it off, clean it out. Pop out the cowl vents and clean all the shit out of there, and if need be run a coat hanger up from the drain hole into the cowl. That should take car of the wet floor boards.
Most everything else you have mentioned is simple remove and replace. Buy a Bentley manual, and search here you will find the answers and help you need to do it all by your self. These cars have a few little PIA things but for the most part are really easy to work on.Originally posted by FusionIf a car is the epitome of freedom, than an electric car is house arrest with your wife titty fucking your next door neighbor.
