I was looking for a plastic bumper conversion... He contacted me saying he had everything I needed. Sent me a picture of the car he was parting out. He talked me into paying through paypal but to his roommate's account. I sent $454.00 to him. 200 for the front, 150 for the rear, 90 for shipping and 14 to cover the paypal 3%. Here i was excited... Paid on Oct 3rd. Haven't heard from him and haven't been able to get ahold of him since. Didn't think he'd do this with 261 posts on R3V. I reverse email looked up his roommate. Got their address, roommates mom and dad's names. phone numbers, myspace accounts, and when I looked up the roommate, I found pictures online of the same car I was supposed to be buying parts from. Oh, And I also found other posts from Rotarievtec of the same damn white e30 for sale and then sold at the top... FML. I filed a claim with Paypal on the 13th. Hope I get my money back... anyone live in Wichita KS that would like to go knock on his door and ask where my shit is?

Sucks to hear. I've been pretty lucky so far. Even got a set of eagle rods mailed to me from another country without paying a dime. He insisted I look them over first. But I have had a not so great recent experience where a buyer filed a bogus paypal dispute. Threatened to bash my name all over the forum if I did not refund him before he sent the items back. Then everything gets completely destroyed when I received it and I think he is going to keep the insurance claim money. But I'm still thinking positive.

This is why we have a feedback section, cannot believe so many people got scammed lol. I have been scammed once and since then I have learned to trust no one and view their feedback.

Good luck getting your money back, I had to endure phone calls from the asshole that stole from me. He would just call and be an ass about stealing.
