    Seafoam does rid some issues but it's all temporary.

    Yeahhh.... Seafoam isn't that great. Most people do more damaged than good when using seafoam. Go into any legit shop and ask for a Seafoam treatment, see what happens.

      I've Seafoamed a ton of cars. It's fun! But the only car we noticed a real difference in was a Lexus that had 90k miles and hadn't really been maintained much. It was idling rough and had an occasional misfire. I ran some Seafoam through the intake and it coughed up a ton of smoke and never triggered the CEL again. The rest of the cars it just generated a ton of smoke. I will say the Volvo I did it on had a pristine crankcase when I looked in there but I didn't see much of a difference in performance.
