did 325i came out in 1986?

i found a 1986 for cheap and she claim its a 325i. i search on google with no help. my dad bought a 11/07 scion back in 2007 but with a 2008 title and accessories so i don't know if that is similar to this. any ideas?

So the earliest production year should be 1987. Even if he bought it in '86, which is possible, the car has to be at least an '87 on all documentation.

Production date does not equal model year. 11/07 Scion would be a 2008 M/Y.

but to answer your question, yes, the 325i did come out in 1986 in europe.. it's actually got a bit more power, 171hp.
