          "2500"

So it appears to be a "new six".

I'll re-phrase the question. Should I buy it? It runs, supposedly, but "shifts hard" and needs the carbs rebuilt. Are these desirable in any way?

          ;)

If it had no or little rust I would buy it if the price was right.

It's an E3, the four door version of an E9 basically. Has a M30 engine.

Maybe i'll try and take a look this weekend. Could be a good M30B35 swap candidate, or something crazy like an LS1.

                also, 1970 so no emissions!

Over here they are all called "bavaria" although you can clearly make out he 2500 on the trunk. Which means its the less desirable 2.5.

I would pass unless its really super cheap. And even then its still a handful to do anything worthwhile with it without breaking the bank.

                        E30 M3 / E30 325is / E34 525iT / E34 535i

Not many at all around AUS. It is funny cos they are not much of a collectors item ithor. I would love to fix one with a M30 turbo would be sweet.

                            It's not a Bavaria until 1971.
