New to the Forums and the E30

I just picked up a 1986 325e for $300 bucks with a busted timing belt. Since the m20 motor is an interference motor I am able to acquire a motor from a guy in my SCCA region. He is giving me the motor since it is sitting in his warehouse. Im very excited to learn about this car. E30s are one of my favorite cars made by BMW and when I found this deal I had to grab it fast. The car come with a few extras such as Zenden wheels, STS, suspension (havent been under to find what kind), and a really crappy rat rodish spray paint job. Once I get the car running I will be using for daily use and to autox.
I already autox in a FWD SVT Focus and have done quite well. Cant wait to get this thing out there to play. I know it will not be as fast as the focus but it should be fun to play with RWD at events.

Here pictures when I towed it home. And some pictures of the Focus.

The focus. Meh. (besides the wheels nice choice there) You will soon learn their is only one car that every man needs.

Well worth the money for sure. I picked up a belt, tensioner, head gasket, water pump, and a few other seals for 65 bucks shipped. An ebay deal that actually had some good named parts with it.

These parts are all going on the other motor.

Welcome. The hood is ok on the Focus but do not install a similar one on your BMW.:D

The Hood on the focus was bought back in the Fast and Furious days. Im sure many of you have been through those years. The Hood was about the most extreme thing I did with the car. After I had the hood resprayed I decided to keep it on the car because it doesnt look bad with the paint IMO.

Now its time to focus (no pun intended) on the e30. I have so many plans for it although I am getting married in April so it will take a while to do what I want with it.
