Steering wheel depth, how deep is too deep?

Thinking of picking up a nardi deep corn. Does anyone know how deep a steering wheel can be while still allowing for easy access to the turn signal/wiper stalks (IE accessible without taking hands off the steering wheel)?

The deep corn comes in 330mm and 53mm offset, and 350mm with 80mm offset. Having a 350mm wheel is more appealing but I dont want the wheel to stick out so far that I would have to take my hands off the wheel to use the stalks.

Using a short hub like a works bell, how much of a difference from stock distance would it be?

I think any easy way to figure this out: I need someone to measure the stock hub length (im not at home this week to measure). That way I can take the short hubs length add the offset and that should give the answer.

My Momo Mod 07 is a 350mm and has a 70mm dish. I love it!

Not to thread jack, but how much has steering effort increased with that wheel at low speeds?

I have a Nardi Deep corn 350mm wheel and love it. I also sit much lower in a set of recaro sport seats out of a e21. I found it a little weird at first but have actually come to like it quite a bit. I am not using a quick release hub and just have it bolted to a normal momo hub with the nardi spacer.

Well it's a pain in the ass but I've got 235's and no power steering. :)
