    Furniture/Items made from an e30.

    This weekend a few of us from the College Park crew will be cutting up an eta and I was wondering if anyone had any good ideas for furniture or other things that can be made from e30 parts. I've seen the crankshaft lamps (awesome but we'll also be blowing up the engine) and of course trailers (really bad rust on the rear quarter panel) but I'm interested to see what else people can come up with. I'm considering a coffee table out of the roof but I think I'd have to keep tetanus shots on tap. What do y'all got?

                              Cause BMW V12s came in E30s....

                              Some ideas that come to mind would be a backseat couch... the almighty driver's seat chair and the table out of a block works because the M20 has a horizontal head...

                              Also valve cover to hang on the wall... something out of the wheels. Umm what else? lol

                                  Meant to be expanded on. I'm sure if he really wanted to make a table he could figure a way out..

                                  Some ideas..
                                  Rocking chair seats
                                  Work bench trunk
                                  Lamp from something would be cool. Or drop light.
                                  Skate rack, if that's what you're into..

                                  Idk, kinda hard to come up with simple things other than a couch with the rear seat..

                                                      Local guy I know did this, love the way it turned out. He went on to make it a full chess board, and iirc used all engine internals for the pieces. Really have been tempted to make one myself out of my spare block.
