    Call of Duty

    Anyone here play this game online? I picked it up a couple days ago, and all I can say is wow.

    The single player is crazy. Its do intense and involving, you can get solid adreneline dumps off it. Multiplayer is freaking awsome too.

    I used to be a hardcore CS vet, but i quit because of the rampant cheating, and then Steam!!

    anyways, so who plays online? I wanna shoot you.

    Single player is very nice but mulitplayer lacks big time due to the bunny hopping around and the arcadey style gameplay. After a few patches it should get better though as long as they introduce stamina & bleeding. I still haven't found better gameplay in a WWII multiplayer than Day of Defeat. Red Orchestra (UT2003 mod) is the most realistic of the bunch, but the gameplay is very slow because of the realism. I guess DoD's greatest quality is the fabulous balance of realism & fun.

        Definitely played this but my online connection at school sucked serious shit. I'd play you though, but I know you probably got skill.

        As for the single player mode, it is excellent if you have a perfect computer setup. If you're running it on minimal settings, its not worth playing.

          I heard Call of Duty was insane by some guy that popped up in the cybercafe I work at. However in the end, I still give Battlefield the upper edge for the variety of vehicles.

          But in Single Player and graphics-wise..... yeah.... Call of Duty is god!

            I absolutly LOVE call of duty single player, but unfortunitally the game doesnt agree with my video card or sound card. it will crash every 5 minutes or so... sometimes 2 seconds, sometimes 20 minutes. its retarded. but i love the game so much i keep on playing. i just beat singleplayer the other day, and if i tallyed all the times it crashed as i was moving up through the game, i would guess it was close to 100.

            anyway, because it crashes so much, it makes multiplayer almost impossible.


            p.s. im on a geforce 4200 ti 128mb, soundblaster (not sure which model, not at home), 512 ram, 2ghz processer. if u can help me fix the crashing problem, have at it, ive tryed 1000000 thigns and come up empty handed.

                Update your Nvidia video drivers first off... if that fails, seriously.... gather all the proper up to date drivers, burn a cd, format, and reinstall.

                    My younger brother lives off of it; without it he would be nothing. But its pretty fun, I like DoD as well.
