Cruise control replacement

Re 1988 325is Cruise Cable

I'm looking to install a new cruise control cable. My question is how do I disconnect the cable from the box? I took the clamp and back cover off and thats it. Is there a pin that holds it in place?
Any way I'm sure many of you have the answers.
