This is really all we need in this thread. If you get what YOU want, but worry about what everyone else thinks, you will never truly be happy with your car.Leave a comment:

I am comparing your HPFP example directly to Ford's handling of the new 5.0 6-speed. Read my earlier post regarding the new MT-82 transmission.
The 5.0 isn't a good value if you can't drive the car, that's all I'm saying.Leave a comment:

At least BMW is doing recalls.LOL don't even start, I'm not a ford fan at all but BMW hasn't put out anything worthwhile either, n54/n55 engines eating fuel pumps like it's nothing and a bunch of other stupid recalls. As far as resale goes, BMW isn't high on the list either. No one is putting a gun to your head to say ALL American cars handle well. Stop being ignorant at the fact that the Mustang is an actual bang for the buck.
Yeah they are big, but they're the smallest of the "modern muscle" cars. My GTO had tons of power and was fast everywhere, but man did it feel HUGE.The mustang exhaust sounds sweet and they have really improved the styling, but to me it was so freaking big for not having much space inside. The hood is really long and the car just feels like a boat, doesn't necessarily drive like one, but it feels huge. The doors are really tall and its hard to see out of. The mustang has had its fair share of issues as well, my dad has been back and forth to the dealer a few times in the past couple months of ownership.

My dad has a new mustang and I just recently bought an e90 and was considering a 135. The 135 is an awesome and is built like a bmw. It does have some issues associated with its HPFP and other common problems but you would probably be getting a CPO or one with factory warranty still left. Its fast, its got excellent build quality and materials.

In the end, just decide what you would be more happy with. Mustangs are a dime a dozen around here and you will get more respect from other enthusiasts in a 135. Typically the 135 is a car for drivers who sought it out because of its performance, where the mustangs are every southern testosterone filled teenagers dream so all many drivers know is "its loud, its got a v8 and I am the best driver on earth".
But in the end who gives a shit what other people think or stereotype you as. Just get the car you want and drive the shit out of it.Leave a comment:

Who are you?
I'll be the third to say it, IMO the new Camaro is hideous. After driving both a V6 and V8 I disliked them even more, the interiors feel like they are out of a toy and you can't see a damn thing out of them. I will say that they both sounded great, but that's about the only thing I liked.

Actually, no. They were happy that that BMW wasn't cranking out half-ass federalized cars with thermal reactors that clogged up, heads that cracked and so on. The '80s, at least before the 750, were a time of peace.
Then the '90s came and things returned to normal. ;- )Leave a comment:

I bet back in the 80's BMW techs bitched about how crappy and junky the E30 was.^ yea, probably my biggest reason for not picking up a new 'stang. There are a lot of them out there. I like that you don't see too many decent e30s or e36s out there and it's nice to be different.
I might be a little negative but I think all techs tend to get that way considering that all we see day in and day out are cars in need of repair. If they didnt break I'd be out of a job though!Leave a comment:
