    e30 drawing

this is what I've been working on whenever I have a bit of free time beside my school projects.

Everything is being done in Sketchbook pro since it's way more effective when you want some loose renderings that don't need to be look like photo-realistic.

It's not finished yet and I'm slammed with final projects and competitions so I'll update the final version hopefully in december..

So this was my 10-min rough sketches. E30's are super easy to draw compared to other cars.

Then I drew some rough details..

I trimmed mock-up reflections and drew a pair of smileys

Then I removed the sketch layer and drew some more details.

and I drew a set of two piece wheels..I wish they're real :(

    Hope you guys enjoy them!

Looks pretty sweet but it looks like the hood is too slanted and the trunk is too high, otherwise looks sick

Jason, looks like you have some training. Very nice 10min sketches. Are you in school now?

I think there is no way to accurately explain how difficult correct proportions are when doing a 10min. freehand sketch. Only by experience does one understand.

Looks amazing! The only issue I see is the length of the side rear windows, they look like Baur windows.

I like the sketches better than the final piece. Looks more loose and relaxed.

            Either way. Nice!

Looks to me that the whole length of the cab is off. The front windows are fine, but the rears and the back of it look a whole foot ish short. Making the whole wheelbase look short. Making it look like an MR2 when ignoring everything in front of the windshield.

And the right side of the front valence. Angle is askew.

              But that's my opinion.

you're right. I should extend a cab little bit further to the back..I didn't realize that the C pillar goes back to the end of rear wheel arch. BTW this is about 3/4 stage so quite a bit of work will be done when I finish this.. Next time I'll be back with the finished one!

I'm studying industrial design in OCADU but 90% that we do is R&D and marketing/branding so I'm in process of learning those by myself along with 3D softwares because the school doesn't offer any course covering such.:x
