While installing the wiring for my sound system, I found an odd looking box in between the panels behind the driver's door. I think it's an I.E.D. (improvised explosive device for those of you that don't know what that is). So, I'm scared to start my car now.

Nah, all joking aside. What the heck is it? Can I take it off?
