Whenever I buy anything M20 powered. I won't even turn the car on without first changing the timing belt.

-DDM tuning HID's

...etc. Put that $100 towards maintenance, and keep doing it. Don't stop until you've fixed everything, then start doing mods if you feel like it. You want a well sorted baseline to build from, not a car held together with bailing wire, duct tape, zip ties, and pennies.

Maintenance. Front of engine timing, ignition, coolant system upkeep. If you have records that that has been done recently then I would suggest:

IS lip
Short shifter
Subframe bushings
Clutch stop
Second trunk light mod
HID's
Clear or smoked side markers


All can be done for around $100 or less.
