where would you price this car at?

not really looking to sell the car, just curious what R3v would value the car at, given the generally inflated values of E30's these days....

    here are the particulars:

    1987 BMW 325IC, 151k Miles on chassis
    Poly front CAB bushings
    US ellipsoid headlights
    Late model valence and foglights
14” basketweave wheels with new tires
    Mtech 1 Steering wheel

    1994 M50TUB25 Engine with 130K miles
    All aluminum radiator
    Ebay supersprint replica headers
    Kamotors intake

    1999 ZF320 transmission, 95k miles
    E30 Eta driveshaft
    2.93 LSD rear differential

Exterior bodywork condition of the car would rate about an 8/10
    Paint rates about a 4-5/10
Interior rates about 6-7/10 (fronts OK, back seatback sunchecked, dash cracked, carpet stained)
Convertible top rates at about 7/10 (rear window fogged, no rips/tears)

if requested I can post pics, but honestly there are enough of them floating around in my various threads.

come on bro. he just said that paint was 4-5 out of 10. and interior not much better.

I think 3500 is realistic. it's just a cab with a motorswap and an LSD. you'd have to be high on LSD to buy it for $5500, frankly.

$3500 sounds fair. It sounds like it still needs a looooooot of work.

I may be being more harsh on the interior than I need to be. 99% of the gripes I have with it would be gone with a good detailing. worst parts are the cracked dash (welcome to AZ, they are all cracked) and the back seatback.

Paint is BY FAR the worst attribute of the car, the drivers side looks to have been poorly color sanded, and the paint was put on WAY too thick, and has tiger striping. Definitely a candidate for a respray.

Here are a few pics though

                Drivers side shot:

Pass interior: spots are exploded coke (dont ask)

                Drivers side:

Door cards are a bit grungy, its my DD not a showcar right now

                Back seat:

Rear window: only real problem with the top is this.....

2800 as it sits, doesn't look well kept.

I don't understand why people do 24V swaps into junk shells.

I'd have a hard time paying $3k for that. Assuming you don't have AC anymore?

So maybe $3-3200? I think you would realistically have to spend $3k to make it a $6k car.

not really looking for a 6K car, but at that price point, even putting another 2-2500 into it, I would at least break even, if not make a few bucks.

realistically, I was figuring around 3K as it sits (with maybe a detail on the interior) Even at that point, Im not in the hole as far as $$$ is concerned.

Major things it will get in the near future are a new drivers seat bottom frame (sourced, just needs install), and some new rack boots. paint and body will be started hopefully next summer. Need clearance from SWMBO before I sink more $$$ into this thing. This thread does show im not upside down on this thing yet though....

I may hit you up when I have the $$$ gathered. Paintwork, on a project this big is outside my level of expertise. Too easy to end up with a fucked up project if you dont know what you are doing/have a good place to do it.
