    325i Cylinder Head

I need a new head for my 325i engine and want to get my moneys worth and do it right this time since i made a mistake already with my eta motor.

With that said, Can i get a different head other then a B25 stock head and if there is would you have to do any modifying to get it to work proper?

Just trying to get some ideas before i make a purchase.

Other than the stock head, the only other heads that will fit and give performance gains would be either an Alpina head, Hartge head with big valves, or a Schnitzzer tuned head but all of these are very hard to find. The best thing to do would be to have it ported out.
Or you can go extreme and have the head x-rayed and ported out to the max. I know one guy in the Uk who spend $2000 having this done but is making 216.5 hp but he also has it stroked to 2.7.

you could just do basic headwork to the stock head and get some decent cams. Port and polish, bigger valves, cams, etc.

Well i got till summer to find a rare head so i guess i can start looking but if i find one i bet anything it wont be cheap lol

Im putting the 325i into my eta cuz eta's or worthless. Stock eta's dont hold a high retail like 2k is how much they are worth and 325i's i have noticed are worth a tad bit more so my plan is to throw this in with a few modifications to make it worth my money to invest in other little mods. oh yeah and they are a bit on the slow side yeah cant forget that. lol

Im also on the look out for some kind of body kit before i take that car to a b-shop (rear skirt, side skirt etc...).

I'd email the seller of the head and ask for the VIN number off the head and run it to make sure for sure it is an Alpina head. Also research to see what the different companies did tot he heads. I know Alpina had port work and a larger cam but I'm not sure about porting. And Hartge stuck Larger valves, cam and ported the H27 heads.
From those pictures that head almost looks more like a 323i head that has been modified. ask around on some of the Euro forums to see what heads the companies used as the basis for the converision.
and as for the 750 heads I have no idea but it would have to be the head off the Passenger side bank of cylinders as it has the intake ports on the correct side.

                Ask over here http://com2.runboard.com/be30zoneforum
Iain has a H27 and a couple guys have Alpina's so they would probally know better what the differences are between the different heads.

Im probably going to sell the engine so i dont need a head.

I might mount the 325i exhaust up into my car.

Rest is going but i probably wont be make any effort to advertise it on here and i however did make a Feeler in FS + WTB.

All the engine does is smoke a little when it is started thats all, I even have complete wiring harness with 173 ECU and a 3.73 LSD with driveshaft and tranny.

I am short on cash and i really do need to get the car to a body shop since the car looks like shit on the extiror like someone said on here "it looks like an 80's work truck". :?

                    .........

Will a 323i head work on an Eta block?

                    What benefits will i get?

How much do they usually go for?

Just a few questions that i'd thought i would ask. :P
