          Cummins ISB CR 610

Ran across one for $1200 the other day.

In all reality. It's about preference really.

If your on a budget and wanna stay BMW:

                        S50/2
                        M30b34/5
                        M52
                        M50 (but not really)
                        M60/2

Your best option would be an m21

If money doesn't bother you and you wanna stay BMW:

                        Euro s50
                        S54
                        S62

Or you could just go turbo or supercharged

It depends on the power goal.

                          <250rwhp worked NA m50
                          <300rwhp worked NA s50
<400rwhp turbo m20, you can cut corners at this power level
                          <500rwhp turbo m50
                          <650rwhp turbo m30
anything above this, built m50/s50 turbo

of course, that's just one number and doesn't necessarily reflect how fast the car is. An LS1 swap probably slots in nicely around m50 turbo power levels but I suspect it's faster.

I would love to see a RB26DETT in an E30.
