    e30 dash replacement question

I just finished taking out my old dash and my car is ready for the new one to go in. I tried starting it and it wont start, neither do the windows go up. Is this normal?

Either the lack of pixie dust, or an electrical problem/connection.

Are you asking why the stuff that you unplugged won't work? Is the battery connected? I don't know what you have to unplug to do this but was one of the plugs something that has to do with the car starting?

It is my first time doing this so I'm not entirely sure.

My battery is plugged in and i don't think i disconnected anything that's hooked up to the ecu.

just pulled my dash today to get to some wiring so i can source my s50 electrical issue.

if it was done right, you would have labeled every connection you disconnected. or taken photos as notes.

you windows will not roll down most likely because you disconnected the window breaker.
                    (think thats what its called).

as for the start, what happes when you turn the key? will it crank but no fire, or just nothing.

I know this may sound stupid but one time my car would
crank but won't start unless I have jumper cables on it

you should take it out and put it back in again.
