No turbo. Just a 3L straight 6. This is a grey market car and the first year for W124 body. The US didn't get a diesel version (turbo 6) until 1987. It was a one year only model and the next diesel didn't arrive until 1990 with the turbo 5 (great engine!). These had slots in the right fender as did the 1995 only E300D (straight 6, no turbo). 1995 was also the last year for the W124 body style. -
Copy. The older 300D's are slugs and also somehow get comparatively shitty fuel economy.
So it's not a turbo diesel? Noticed it doesn't have the intake slots in the right fender.Leave a comment:

Ukit (idk if you know of him) would have bought it off you, he's by East PasadenaI have no pictures of it. It was a mid 80's with fairly oxidized grey paint. The transmission went out on it shortly after buying and it's to date the only car I've donated to charity. I just could not get anybody to buy it. The interior was pretty darn nice. I tried to remove the seats for my 65 nova and couldn't even get to the bolts that held them in. F Peugeot. :)
You should have donated it to me :)Leave a comment:

Yeah me too. LOL that's actually quite funny, I cut my fingers pretty badly doing the filter on mine when I was 16.
btw, do you have any pictures of yours?Leave a comment:

I owned a Peugeot 505 and everything I'd bring it in for service the mechanic would do a face palm. The engineers seemed to have designed that car specifically to frustrate mechanics. Even simple oil changes were annoying (filter was nearly impossible to get to)Leave a comment:

My friend has a w123, non turbo 300D. The thing is as slow as balls. But you wont find a more reliable car then it. I found it for him, he really didnt want a non turbo, but when we got there, it was the cleanest one we looked at. No major rust. Almost showroom. Payed 2k for it. all it needed was tires, Injectors, shocks, and glowplugs. it somehow dominates in the snow.

BTW: Pantless Spency, get that thing running. Or your a scumbag. If that thing makes it to a Junkyard, my friend will hunt you down.Leave a comment:
