Who bought Vlad's silver M tech 4 door?

I saw it at at Castro's shop in Socal, the interior looked brand new, and all of the engine components looked very clean. But i didn't inspect it inch by inch, and didn't really pay attention to the paint job. Don't think it was worth 17k though.

In that case i have some beach front property in Albuquerque i'd like to sell you. That car was a Monet for sure. Seats had torn stitching. I noticed the paint was garbage from 20 feet away when it was on the hoist with the lights off.

Please don't see this car in more detail. You will be extremely disappointed if what you are looking for is perfection or a high quality restoration project. I speak for paint and bodywork at least.

You'd be disappointed even if you were expecting a low quality restoration. If you went and did a thorough cleaning of the car inside and out you'd see so much crap it would make your stomach hurt. Or maybe its just my OCD. The paint looked like it could not have been more then $100 a gallon. Truly horrible. Not even maaco quality, earl shieb with a wet sand basically. I've only shot a few motorcycles in my time but even my first attempt came out better then that car. That car was definitely built towards distraction. You look at the few nice bits it has on it and forget to look at the important things like is the diff bolted on to the chassis. No joke that crap almost fell out from under the car.

You could say, show and shine car, everything we do not want here.
But it is like that, any car will look better on a photograph, than if you see it in person.
There are to many bunglers around...
A car has to be good under the hood, its body too.

Vlad had some top notch work done to interior. Everything is still in perfect condition when it left his shop.

Am I the only one who notice the dashcap? Why didn't Vlad replace it with a OEM Crackfree dash? Or at least align it properly

Its just odd to me people can notice paint peel but not something glaringly obvious. Maybe its because I have a dashcap from PO and it annoys the hell out of me.

its also due to the use of shiny shit in the interior to distract the eye from the (now) obvious shortcomings of the car. your eyes will be drawn to the steering wheel and pedal covers, shit like the dash cover gets missed

If you don't study any of Vlad's pictures with a close eye, it can be fairly hard to miss all of those little details.

I saw this car at the Castros , not only was it poor quality work - There were several clear coat drip marks that Azael & I spotted. This was defiantly not a 17k car. My paint job that the PO did on my car is better - It's probably a earl scheib or maaco paint job. /rant
