Best place to buy used e30s

Im currently looking for a 325is,325i,318is and am not having much luck. Ive tried ebay and autotrader.com but i am having difficulty finding a nice car. Does anyone know of any other places to look for a nice e30 with relatively low kmws and mods?

I'd check out the classifieds in the Roundel or other BMWCCA publications or websites. Those owners have generally taken better care of the car than others may have.

From what I've read, I'm one of the few people that have found a nice E30 on Ebay. One thing that I looked for was where the car was from. Not just the town or city but the actual street address it was being sold from. Mine came out of a well established (old) Madison, WI country club neighborhood. Madison was 20-30 minutes from where I was living at the time, but I didn't even bother to look at the car before I bid (and won).

CCA people (at least around here) want e36 pricing for just about every e30, save for e30 m3s, where they want e46 pricing

Another source is here in California people just park their car out on the main
street (El Camino real) with a for sale sign and it pays to go up and down the
road .... sometimes the people you are targetting for a nice low mileage well-taken
care of example are not the internet-savvy type...

Other tricks--
- go to 3-5 local independent BMW mechanic shops and ask who has an e30
they might be thinking of selling -- at this point many people think of selling
because of they think their car won't last for many more miles (e.g. past 200k)

-some independent used car lots seem to specialize in bimmers and have the
occassional nicely moded e30 around

see im from an island in canda(newfoundland) if you have ever heard of it... i doubt you have, so the internet is my only option.
ive went to ebay, autotraders, and a few other places but havnt had much luck.. Im flying to the states on oct 13th to drive a car back so i dont have alot of time.
