I am Canadian too, and I have been to Newfoundland. Nice place,
very scenic fishing villages all over.
Hey if you are in Canada, you should take advantage of the fact
that Canadian law allows you to import European cars after only
15 years, without hassles. This allows you to get very rare models
in Canada that are harder to import to the United States. What I
am talking about is the very cool Touring (Wagon) version of the
E30. This car (below) is for sale in British Columbia and has been
legally imported from a nice German couple, and it has a German i
head (rumors are it is more powerful), cloth seats, and manual tranny.
The only thing is--what is your budget? He wants 12,000 Canadian.
PM for more details if you are interested. I thought about trying to
bring it into the US but I would have to federalize it for an additional
7,000 so it's not worth it. Check around- there may be other Tourings
around, and/or there are guys from Germany on this board that could
maybe get you one and have it shipped to Halifax.
