11,542 feet @ Hoosier Pass several times when I lived in Breckenridge. The M20 was really struggling to make power. I never got around to driving Independence Pass...maybe some day.
What effect does this have on the car itself? What makes it cool?
I am basically at sea level..
The difference between 5000 feet above sea level and 500 feet above sea level is notable.
I once had a Toyota Rav4 4 cyl. and at 5000 feet I kept wondering why Toyota would ever put such an underpowered engine in that car.
at 500 feet above sea level it would actually pull a little bit and I understood that the engine Toyota equipped it with was just fine, so long as you weren't at a high elevation.
