Why not make one from PVC and hand that to your framer?

There's a thread somethere where someone made a nice PVC roll cage that flexed and everything anyone could ever want in a roll cage....

So does 5 G turns, but at least with the PVC roll cage you'll know your head is still in one piece when you fly off an embankment after taking out 32 cones on the auto cross track in the Best Buy parking lot.

That is called a roll bar, not a "half cage."
