Tracking down cause of fuel smell...

my trunk smells like fuel after a long drive... After looking for this issue i saw the fuel filter was all gunked up and such so i put in a new one. Dosnt smell as bad but i still time to time get a sent of gas. next will be replacing the soft lines at the HPFP/FF

Make sure you use fuel injector spec hose 125PSI anything else will be a problem.
When changing hoses do them all at the same time. Color code them so you get it right.

injector o rings??

+1 on this - my 325 had the same problem last Christmas, intermittent
fuel leak / smell everytime I would start my car in the morning. turned out to be a small leak on fuel injector #6 and traced in on the 26 yr old
o-ring. replaced all the injector o-ring's and everything is now ok.
